If this isn't the most thoughtful and useful "push gift," I don't know what is. I'm a big fan of small cross body bags, but as a (working) mama, I'm now required to carry way more than a laptop and lip moisturizer. My bag is now stuffed with baby outfits, creams and lotions, diapers and wipes, snacks, a laptop, bottles... When I started researching luxury baby bags that I'd actually carry, I found the monogrammed Cuyana Tall Structured Leather Tote and Leather Bag Tassel and knew this was the bag.
I have always thought the idea of a "push gift," was strange, considering that 1) No gift could ever trump the blessing of a newborn baby, and 2) Newborn babies can be expensive and the idea of spending so much on jewelry or something special that broke the budget made me uncomfortable. I'd never ask Matt to extend ourselves to that point, so I focused on "push gift" ideas that were luxurious, in our budget, and useful. The Cuyana Tall Structured Leather Tote satisfied my every requirement for a push gift, and it fills another requirement that I didn't know could be possible: it has to be personalized and signify the meaning of bringing our child into the world.I chose the camel color tote and ended up getting "Mama" monogrammed in large foil on the bag in gold. I thought Mama signified the change in life event better than my personal initials. I then added a monogram the leather tassel with "E <3 O" for Emily loves Oliver. This made the push gift special to the life changing event, the arrival of our son.
I use the Cuyana Tall Leather Structured Tote every day now as a mama. It's easy to pack and fill with everything I need for Oliver and myself, and I don't require an extra diaper bag on the side.
